Redbourn Golf Club is close to junction 9 of the Ml, on the Redbourn bi-pass in the beautiful countryside of Hertfordshire. We encourage children from a young age to obtain the best possible start to their golfing career by introducing them to the game via the nationally recognized: -
The Junior Golf Passport is a comprehensive coaching programme that PGA instructors can use to structure learning, monitor progress and reward achievement. Young golfers are taught about the five core elements of the game and are presented with targets to work towards that get progressively more challenging.
The Golf Foundation at Redbourn Golf Club caters for boys and girls aged 5 to 17. Once children have reached a reasonable standard they will be invited to join in our weekly Wednesday evening training sessions on the par 3 'Kinsbourne’ 9 hole course.
The training evenings, skill competitions, par 3 handicap and monthly medal competitions will encourage the youngsters to work hard and improve their ability.
When they attain a certain competence they will be ready to join one of our three teams and play in friendly matches both home and away, gaining valuable experience in dealing with new and different courses.
With dedication and hard work their handicaps will fall below 18 when they will become eligible to play for the team playing in the North Herts and Ver leagues, and then, with luck, they could be picked to play for the county.
We’ve undertaken a long-term commitment to elevate Redbourn Golf club to be amongst the best clubs in the county. With our unequalled facilities and top quality teaching pros, it’s just a matter of time, and of course the combined participation of juniors, parents and the committee before we reach our goals.
Thank you for visiting,
